David Frazier Biography


David Frazier has a diverse background in the investment securities industry and has been investing in the financial markets for more than 20 years. After completing his undergraduate studies in economics, finance, and accounting, he joined The Dun & Bradstreet Corporation in 1987 as a business analyst. From 1989 to 1991, he worked in sales and marketing for a boutique financial planning firm and then joined Waterhouse Securities, Inc. (now TD Ameritrade) in 1992 as a Series 7 Investment Representative.

In 1993, David became a sales representative (later national sales manager) for a small-cap/growth stock mutual fund managed by William O'Neil and Company, the publishers of Investor’s Business Daily.

From July 1996 to March 1998, David served as an investment research analyst at a boutique investment consulting firm providing advice to affluent individual investors. He then served as a merchant banking analyst and director of financial publications for two years at a corporate financial advisory firm that provided business consulting and merger and acquisition advisory services to start-up and small publicly traded companies.

From April 2000 to March 2004, David served as an equity research and investment banking analyst at a private investment banking and corporate finance firm headquartered in Los Angeles, California. Before joining Newsmax Media, he provided investment research, analytical, and writing services to institutional investors and wrote for several investment newsletter publications, including The Chartist, Emerging Investments and Leeb’s IPO Insight.

David has passed the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) Series 7, 63, and 65 exams and he is a candidate in the CFA Institute's Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Program. He received his B.S. degree in business administration and management from Virginia Commonwealth University with a major in finance and a minor in economics and has taken graduate courses in finance and accounting at both Harvard University and at the University of California at Los Angeles.
